Our Story

In the early 1980’s, Chuck Kalman entered the construction industry refurbishing and remodeling apartment complexes in the Long Beach area. During the 1990’s, he was a journeyman drywaller working on tenant improvements in the high rise buildings of downtown Portland. He then relocated to Phoenix where he started building single-family homes. In 1996, he earned his general contractors license. Chuck returned to his native California in 1998 to work for Pulte/Del Webb where he was eventually promoted to Vice President of Construction for the San Diego division. After eight years, Chuck was hired as Vice President of Operations for D.R. Horton where he was responsible for all field operations for the Orange County division.

After decades of service to some of the country’s largest merchant builders, including Pulte, Del Webb and D.R. Horton, Chuck Kalman saw an opportunity to start the family business that he has always envisioned. He has joined forces with his son, Chuck, Jr. The venture allows the Father and Son team to work together to build a future for their families and legacy for generations to come.
